Guelph Youth
Singers presents
Celebrate the
Sky
With songs of
birds, butterflies, angels, a heavenly aeroplane and more, the award-winning
choirs of Guelph Youth Singers will Celebrate the Sky
in their annual spring concert! The four choirs, with 90 singers aged six
through eighteen, will showcase their talents through a variety of appealing
styles, including classical, folk, jazz and
spirituals. A special highlight will be a choreographed version of the old
song, “High Hopes,” and a delightful song about kites, also choreographed.

Founded in
1991, Guelph Youth Singers have reached national prominence through frequent
provincial and national awards. Their three solo CDs are sold throughout North
America and are regularly played on Canadian radio stations.
The annual
spring concert by Guelph Youth Singers is the major event of the spring season
for Guelph Youth Singers, and will follow a tour in early May by Choir III to
Moncton, where they will be hosted by an Acadian choir, Les Jeunes
Chanteurs d’Acadie.
GYS is always
looking for new choristers who love to sing. Choristers enjoy the chance to
learn to sing well, to read music, to do drama workshops, to perform….and to
enjoy the company of other talented youth. Auditions are now being scheduled
for entry into next season’s choir.
If
you’d like your child to be a part of Guelph Youth Singers, or you’d like more
